Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the difference between a UNIT and a share?
A share is a direct ownership in a company whose components of ownership are freely tradable on the stock exchange, while a unit is a unique portion of benefit that NAMITVEST offers its UNIT owners. Each unit has access to rewards that come with it and further offers a built in discount at purchase and also a lower risk profile than buying one share in a company on the stock market.

2. You said that an ex member's children or dependents, what if my kids are adopted?
A dependent can be a non biological child of the ex or present MUN member if the member has legally recorded and recognized guardianship that can be proven with documents.

3. How do we know what is going on at NAMITVEST if we invest?
You are buying units in the JTT which owns and controls NAMITVEST. The JTT reports to its members, who you are a part of. You can trust what they do, because they are accountable to you.

4. Why can't I just sell my units right away?
Because NAMITVEST wants to grow the wealth of its unit holders and that means letting things grow. It's like cattle, you don't sell them or eat them when they are calves, you wait until they are mature. It's the same thing with these units, they need to mature to give you the biggest benefit.

5. Why is there a limit on the number of units I can buy?
Because NAMITVEST wants as many MUN ex members, present members and their dependents to benefit, allowing one group to buy them all would not allow that to happen. This is why there are limits on how much everyone can buy.

6. How will I know how my units are doing once the offer is taken?
NAMITVEST provides a report on fund performance every year, allowing unit owners to see the value of their units and to know the underlying situation with their investment.

7. Can I form a CC with my wife to buy more units?
Yes, you can buy units by creating an entity with your spouse, your children and others to increase the number of units that are available for you.

8. If I am 70, why still buy these units?
Units are investments in the future of not just you but your family, even if you buy them, you can still pass them to your spouse or your dependents. Use units to give wealth over to your family for tomorrow.
